Instructors
- Dr. Subhash Annoji Shanbhag: Dr. Subhash holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Ayurveda science. Trained and practiced in India under well-known teachers, he has the ability to adapt and plan tailor-made treatments to every individual. His sessions begin with detailed counseling on dosha, medical history, and pulse diagnosis. He started his career in India 10 years ago and is now practicing in Phuket under the banner of Mangosteen Ayurveda Spa.
- Anna Petrovska: Passionate meditation and yoga teacher, alternative modalities therapist and talented experienced vegetarian raw chef. Professional experience of teaching Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Breathwork and Meditations with Dynamic Movement Therapy. Worked with various healing modalities, including tradition Reiki (Master Level), Crystal Reiki, Ayurvedic Aromatherapy , Acupressure for emotional release ,Tuning Fork Sound Therapy, EFT Therapy and Body Movement Therapy. Yoga classes at Mangosteen Prana Yoga Sala, mediation and sound therapy.
- Koong Jiraphorn: Passionate about Yoga for a long time. I had the opportunity to train as a Yoga teacher in Rishikesh, India and I received the certificate of the Yoga Alliance YTTC, from Satyam Vedic Yoga School with Yogacharya Somdutt Amoli. I'm now living in Phuket to teach Yoga at different Yoga Centers. When I had the opportunity, I went to workshops in additional places to gain new knowledge, because I thought that learning was endless. Since 2017, I'm teaching Vinyasa Yoga at the Mangosteen Resort.
- Orlando Matos Abreu: Hatha Yoga Instructor, specializing in Yoga Therapy and Spine Rejuvenation. With a predominate background in Hatha Yoga Orlando has also incorporated Vinyasa and Yin Yoga creating different therapeutic sequences suitable for all ages and levels! Combining different breathing techniques and mental focus, this relaxing yet dynamic therapeutic approach continues helping many with not only flexibility but also chronic pain balancing mind and body! Orlando for example passed the RYS-500 Yoga Shiromani Teacher Training with Dr. Om Prakesh in Uttarakhand, Himalaya, India in January 2018.
- Kirstin Gourlay: Kirstin has been living in Thailand since 2015 and teaches Yoga & Meditation, is an Access Bars Energy Healing Practitioner, as well as a holistic wellness consultant. At Mangosteen Resort, she is teaching Restorative & Yin based Yoga classes, suitable for all levels, and helps our guests to find that this is where your mind, body and soul can find balance and peace.

Mangosteen Ayurveda & Wellness Resort's villas have been designed to be naturally cool, with very high insulation and air ventilation through the roof. Even without air-conditioning, you will feel comfortable and relaxed. The air-conditioning is working quietly, the temperature control is precise, and you can reach it from your bed.Mattresses are first grade for a very comfortable sleep and sweet dreams. The tropical gardens are kept natural, cultured but not over-designed, attracting local animals such as geckos, birds, frogs, and butterflies, also a result of environmentally friendly pest control systems.For your retreat, you can choose between the resort's four different rooms types, from the basic Superior Garden Villas (but still 58 square meters) to their most famous Superior Jacuzzi Villas including a Jacuzzi hot tub. All villas lay amidst the lush tropical gardens with the Deluxe Jacuzzi and Royal Jacuzzi Villas having a partial sea view and being the most spacious and luxurious room types.
The size of the rooms ranges from 58 square meters to 94 square meters, and provide guests with spacious, large, and private space. Each villa features a comfortable seating area, spacious al-fresco bathrooms with an outside garden rain-shower and a terrace, all designed to ensure an enjoyable stay.

- Salt-water swimming pool:The large free form swimming pool is salt-water treated and the heart of the property. It is open 24 hours with water temperatures around 30 degrees. There is generous space for everybody and even with the resort fully booked, the pool area will not feel crowded.
- Thai cooking classes:Thai food is famous around the world and with Asia shops mushrooming in almost every country and city worldwide, more and more people like to cook some of the tasteful and spicy dishes at home. Book a Thai cooking class with the resort's chef and learn by doing.
